  1. Dinosaurs Live! at The Heard

    September 2, 2017 - February 20, 2018 @ Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

    Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary’s nature trails at the 12th annual Dinosaurs Live! The exhibit always gives families and friends a fun, educational activity to enjoy together. See the dinosaurs move and hear them roar! Photo op and play area dinosaurs will be available as well. This year, the exhibit also features an outdoor fossil dig. The dinosaur trail is jogging stroller friendly (it is not suitable for strollers with small wheels).

  2. Evening Legacy Tea and Dinner

    October 18, 2017, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

    Through a partnership with the Genealogy Center, the Heard-Craig is thrilled to offer it's first LEGACY TEA on October 18th, 2017, during Family History Month. The Legacy Teas will be held in the late afternoon from 4:00 - 6:00 PM and will always include an ancestry/genealogy program. The program for October is entitled, "Top 20 Tips for Recording your Legacy" (so that the information is easy to find and easy for your ancestors to interpret). Our Ancestry partner and Featured Speaker will be Ms. Cheryl Smith from the Haggard Library. This is a unique tea. Attendees will be served with traditional Sterling Silver Tea Services. A menu of quiche, chocolate, 4-layer cake, and tea is planned. Pearls are encouraged! There will be only 16 seats available at each of these Legacy Teas so that personalized ancestry/genealogy/legacy questions can be answered. Come for a dreamy evening and start learning how to leave YOUR legacy.

  4. Andy Timmons and the Pawn Kings

    Reuniting for their first performance in 10 years, Join The Guitar Sanctuary as we welcome a special performance by Andy Timmons and the Pawn Kings at The Sanctuary Music & Events on Friday October 20th at 8pm (doors open at 7pm) with special guest Kirby Kelley. VIP Tables with seating for 4 directly in front of the stage are $200 per table. Downstairs Seats (First Come, First Served) are $35 each General Admission (Standing Room Only) Tickets on the upstairs balcony are $15 each. We will have standard Bar and Food Service available. The Pawn Kings played on Wednesday nights at Doug Henry's much-missed Blue Cat Blues club in Deep Ellum. The group played nearly 300 gigs there to SRO crowds from 1995 to late 2001. They were also featured every Friday as Redbeard’s Letterman” style band on Q102’s Bring In The Weekend party. In addition to featuring Andy Timmons on guitar, the Pawn Kings are made up of Michael Medina on Bass, Tommy Young on B3, and Sean McCurley on Drums

  7. Halloween at the Heard

    Experience Collin County’s premier family-friendly Halloween event at Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary. Halloween at the Heard features a safe environment to experience the joy of trick-or-treating along the eerie Dinosaurs Live! Live-Size Animatronic Dinosaurs trail, a costume contest, a movie under the stars and more. Tickets will be available to the public beginning September 29, while supplies last. Tickets for this annual event sold out over a week before the event last year, so the Heard encourages guests to purchase theirs as soon as possible. Proceeds from this event benefit Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, a private 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

We are going to walk you through everything and have tips and tricks up our sleeves to make sure your painting turns out fantastic.
