The members of the Mockingbird Poetry Society (a chapter of the Poetry Society of Texas) will celebrate April as National Poetry Month. Starting on Saturday, April 1 to end of the month, the Mockingbirds are in-charge of an April Display Cabinet in Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library at 101 E. Hunt, downtown McKinney.

Are you an Artist? Would you like to have your artwork displayed overseas for a month and then here for a month? If so, then you might be interested in entering the SCHON EVERYWHERE gallery exchange event, a partnership between the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts and the Freya Frahm Event Center in Germany. The Call for Artists prospectus is located under the EVENTS tab at: www.heardcraig.org. Submission and payment are due by the end of May.

These story times are designed primarily for children and will introduce a different nature-themed book each week. During most of the story times, a puppet, live animal or enrichment items will be included to enhance the experience. These programs should last approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the book covered.

Join The Guitar Sanctuary as we present an evening of Virtuoso Guitar with Andy Timmons, Jennifer Batten, and friends at The Sanctuary Music & Events Center on Friday April 27th at 8pm (doors open at 7pm).
VIP Tables with seating for 4 directly in front of the stage are $200 per table.
Downstairs Seats (First Come, First Served) are $30 each
General Admission (Standing Room Only) Tickets on the upstairs balcony are just $15 each.
We will have standard Bar and Food Service available from our friends at Sterling Events & Catering.
Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck) will kick off the night with her amazing solo multimedia show comprising of songs from her entire career.
Andy Timmons will follow Jennifer's solo performance with an all star band featuring Bobby Sparks (Prince, Herbie Hancock, Snarky Puppy) on B3 and Jason "JT" Thomas (Snarky Puppy, Mark Lettieri) on Drums.
Jennifer will then join them and sparks and licks will fly into the Texas night...
