    The members of the Mockingbird Poetry Society (a chapter of the Poetry Society of Texas) will celebrate April as National Poetry Month. Starting on Saturday, April 1 to end of the month, the Mockingbirds are in-charge of an April Display Cabinet in Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library at 101 E. Hunt, downtown McKinney.

  2. Call for International Artists for a Pop Up Art Gallery

    Are you an Artist? Would you like to have your artwork displayed overseas for a month and then here for a month? If so, then you might be interested in entering the SCHON EVERYWHERE gallery exchange event, a partnership between the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts and the Freya Frahm Event Center in Germany. The Call for Artists prospectus is located under the EVENTS tab at: Submission and payment are due by the end of May.

    This art event pairs paintings with specially designed florals and is similar to San Fransisco's BOUQUETS TO ART! Come and vote for your favorite one! 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
