The Heard-Craig Center for the Arts will present “Tea & Conversation” on Wednesday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carriage House. The program by Janice Byrd entitled “Mark & Livy” chronicles the love story of Mark Twain and his beloved wife, Livy. Mrs. Byrd is a free-lance writer, opinion columnist, radio book reviewer, and oral book performer.
Afternoon tea will follow the program in the Heard-Craig House and will feature delicious desserts, tea sandwiches and other tempting treats. Guests are encouraged to linger over tea and enjoy conversation with friends. A tour of the historic Heard-Craig House will complete the afternoon. The Heard-Craig House is located at 205 West Hunt Street in McKinney’s historic district. The cost is $20 for Heard-Craig League members and $25 for non-members. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 972/569-6909 or emailing bjohnson@heardcraig.org.
