    Uncertain about returning to school? Craig Ranch Fitness has an alternative. Starting Aug. 13, your children can follow along with their school's virtual curriculum from safe, spaced-out classrooms at our facility, all overseen by tutors from our Youth Center. Each day, students will come to Craig Ranch Fitness with their own laptops, headphones, and school login information to complete their coursework at individual, frequently-sanitized workstations. Come learn at a distance with us!   2. Dinosaurs Live! Life-Size Animatronic Dinosaurs

    Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine new life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary’s nature trails at the 15th annual Dinosaurs Live! Life-size Animatronic Dinosaurs exhibit. The exhibit always gives families and friends a fun, educational activity to enjoy together. See the dinosaurs move and hear them roar! Photo op and play area dinosaurs will be available as well. This year, the exhibit also features an outdoor fossil dig. The dinosaur trail is jogging stroller friendly (it is not suitable for strollers with small wheels or wheelchairs).

Every Saturday April – November 8am – 12pm. We work hard to re-create the feel of bygone market days held in the old Jockey lot in downtown McKinney. Meet friends, share local news and bring a chair and sit a while! Most every Saturday there’s a special tour, event, music or demonstration. Local and organic meat, dairy, honey and produce vendors offer their wares every Saturday at Chestnut Square near downtown McKinney. In Anne Royer’s “Cat-harsis” series, her beloved felines appear in elegant collages made with Japanese papers. The incorporation of natural objects and Japanese philosophy in Wayne Batchelder’s functional pottery invites contemplation.

  10. Movies & More! Virtual Band Concert - ENCORE!

    Enjoy an entertaining family-friendly evening of popular tunes from the silver screen! The McKinney Community Band’s virtual Fall concert will feature new performances by small ensembles as well as popular past performances by the full band. Our ensembles recorded their pieces recently and had such fun performing together - safely, of course, with masks when not playing and plenty of distance. You can find details and links for the concert, instrument petting zoo, survey, and McKinney business partners on the McKinney Community Band's website. The concert is scheduled to launch at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. This concert is sponsored in part by grants from the McKinney Community Development Corporation and the McKinney Arts Commission.
