McKinney’s Inflatable Turkey Map Returns November 1
This community tradition invites residents and visitors to get creative, explore McKinney, and discover even more inflatable turkeys around town.
(McKinney – October 21, 2026) The Inflatable Turkey Map is returning to McKinney for 2026, bringing back a beloved seasonal activity that encourages residents and visitors to get creative, explore the community, and have a little fun along the way. After featuring more than 400 inflatable turkeys across McKinney last year, Visit McKinney is inviting the community to make this year’s map bigger than ever.
The 2026 Inflatable Turkey Map will officially launch on November 1, on the McKinney TX! App. Residents are encouraged to register their inflatable turkeys, give them a creative name, and write a fun backstory to share a little personality with the community.
Did your inflatable turkey join the fun last year? Visit McKinney encourages returning participants to use the Inflatable Turkey Lookup tool on the Inflatable Turkey webpage to look up their existing registration and let us know whether their turkey will be returning for 2026. Re-registering helps keep the map up to date and lets the community know which familiar feathered friends will be back for another season of turkey hunting!
Once the map is live on November 1, the fun continues with a community-wide “turkey” hunt! Families can use the map to discover inflatable turkeys throughout McKinney, turning an ordinary outing into a festive adventure filled with opportunities to explore different areas of the city.
NEW for 2026: A Giant Inflatable Turkey Photo Opportunity
This year, the community can look forward to a larger than life addition to the festivities. Beginning November 2, a 25-foot inflatable turkey and monument sign will be featured at Mitchell Park, giving visitors a fun new spot to stop, snap a photo, and celebrate the season. Families are encouraged to make it a stop on their turkey-hunting adventures.
A Little Thank-You for Registering Your Turkey
There’s another new addition for 2026! Anyone who registers an inflatable turkey on the map can pick up an Inflatable Turkey Club magnet at Visit McKinney, located at 200 W. Virginia Street, beginning November 3. Please note, only one magnet will be given per family, while supplies last. Your turkey must be within McKinney city limits to pick up a magnet. Please check the Visit McKinney Google Business Listing for updated hours of operation.
Get Ready to Join the Hunt
With more than 400 inflatable turkeys on last year’s map, the goal for 2026 is simple, make it even bigger! Residents are encouraged to bring their creativity to the tradition by choosing a name for their inflatable, writing a backstory, and adding their turkey to the map by submitting the form.
