Two of McKinney’s own, upstairs for one night! The Guava Tree, straight across the street, brings a Cuban-inspired grazing spread and two cocktails per guest, and Roberto Lay of LA Dance and Entertainment, a Latin-dance instructor with thirty years of teaching behind him, walks you through your first salsa steps.
No experience needed.

The Partners: The Guava Tree Cuban Cafe & Cantina — Cuban-American cooking from a family recipe book, on the road as a food truck since 2012 and now settled at 104 S. Chestnut St., directly across from our door. Known for their Cuban sandwiches and loaded yucca fries, and a past contender on Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race.
LA Dance and Entertainment — Roberto Lay — dancer, performer and instructor, originally from Panama City and one of the people who brought bachata to Dallas. Thirty years teaching salsa, mambo, bachata, merengue and cha-cha, and co-founder of the SeduXion dance team.

Good to Know:
$80 per person, which covers the lesson, two cocktails and the grazing board. The bar is open for anything beyond that.
Wednesday, October 21. Doors at 6 PM, lesson at 6:30, dancing until 9.
