Bring a little nostalgia to your holiday decorating! Join us at Walls of Clay in Downtown McKinney for our Vintage Ceramic Christmas Tree & Cactus Painting Workshop. Create your own lighted ceramic tree or cactus, complete with beautiful glazes and colorful lights.
These timeless holiday decorations are favorites to bring out year after year, and often become treasured family keepsakes.
This special workshop takes place in our party room, away from the bustle of the main studio. With just eight seats available, it’s a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get creative, and enjoy a little holiday tradition.
Create Your Own Vintage Tree or Cactus
Choose from four sizes and styles, including classic ceramic Christmas trees and festive cacti. We’ll help you select your glaze colors and guide you through the painting process.
Go traditional with a green Christmas tree, choose something snowy and white, or create a completely different look with our specialty glazes. Each piece includes a light kit so you can enjoy your finished creation glowing throughout the holiday season.
No experience necessary! Our Creatologists will guide you every step of the way.

Large Christmas Tree (13″) – Includes base, colored light kit, and star
Medium Christmas Tree (9.5″) – Includes base, colored light kit, and star
Large Cactus (10.5″) – Includes colored light kit, and star
Small Cactus (5″) – Includes colored light kit, and star
How It Works
Select your favorite tree or cactus when registering.
Choose from a variety of specialty glaze colors on the day of.
Paint and personalize your project with guidance from our team.
Leave your creation with us for glazing and kiln firing.
Return in approximately 10–14 days to pick up your finished piece.
Add the lights and enjoy your new holiday keepsake!
Pricing & Registration
Project prices range from $52–$105, depending on your selection.
Your registration includes your selected ceramic tree or cactus, specialty glazes, instruction, kiln firing, and the coordinating light kit. Christmas trees also include a base.
Optional light upgrades, including all-clear bulbs, may be available for purchase during the workshop while supplies last.
Registration and payment in full are required to reserve your seat. No additional studio fees.
