The Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney celebrate McKinney’s identity as “America’s Crape Myrtle City” with a gorgeous World Collection Park featuring every known variety of crape myrtle trees. Stroll the paved walkways, enjoy informational signage and benches, and experience spectacular blooms in multiple colors throughout the growing season.
Experience the World Collection of Crape Myrtles—the only collection of all known varieties in the world. Paved walkways wind through vibrant plantings and scenic blooms and picnic tables and grassy areas are available for relaxing and taking in the views. Benches and rest spots can be found scattered throughout the collection for quiet enjoyment.
Informational signage describing the varieties and history of the crape myrtles can be found along the trail, too. Peak color typically occurs in summer, especially late June to early July, when vibrant blooms can be seen throughout the park and along the extended trail corridors across McKinney.
Fall color also offers a stunning display.
