McKinney Main Street, in partnership with local muralist and bird enthusiast Andrea Holmes, created A Field Guide to Birds in Downtown McKinney to showcase the 32 life-sized birds making up this mini, but mega mural project!

Embark on a scavenger hunt to see if you can capture all the birds in your very own bird field guide, available at Visit McKinney, 200 W. Virginia, beginning Saturday, April 26. Stop in, grab your book and your first sticker at the Visitors Center ... and you may even decide to take home one of our super-soft plush birdies from our store while you're here. (You'll also find a sticker-less tour on our Visit McKinney app.)

(We also have a limited number of paper binoculars - one per family, please!)

As you find each painted bird, stop in at the business listed on that page and collect a sticker to post in your field guide.
