The CJ Cup Byron Nelson returned for its fourth year at McKinney’s TPC Craig Ranch on May 2-5, 2024. The four-day televised event is part of a five-year agreement with the PGA that brings thousands of visitors, economic opportunities, and international attention to the City of McKinney.
Canadian golfer Taylor Pendrith (shown here) was 2024's CJ CUP Byron Nelson winner, securing the top prize of $1.71 million and the coveted, handcrafted trophy.
Past Byron winners Jason Day (2023) and K.H. Lee (2021 & 2022) both returned to compete for the trophy and part of the $9.5 million winner's purse ($1.71 million winner’s share each). Dallas's own Jordon Spieth, the 2022 runner-up, also competed but was out after Day 2.

19th Hole Event - Saturday, May 4
Details are coming soon about an exciting new Tee-Up for Cinco de Mayo at District 121 in Craig Ranch on Saturday, May 4, after the day's action on the course. This new entertainment district in McKinney is just a stone's throw from the TPC and offers a great variety of restaurants. This Cinco de Mayo Eve-themed event will feature music, margaritas, and more. Admission is free but you may reserve a spot on the event page.
(Note: Please keep in mind that a half-cent sales tax revenue is reinvested to enhance the community, so we appreciate our visitors spending time in our McKinney establishments. Events like The CJ CUP Byron Nelson hugely contribute to our economy and support our local businesses.)

What items are allowed and what is prohibited to bring into the TPC grounds for the Byron Nelson?
It's best to be prepared when heading to the Byron Nelson event for the day. You certainly don't to take something with you that you'll be required to leave at the check-in station or return it to your car. From clear plastic bags and small cameras to laptops and pets, check out the full list of allowed and prohibited items.

ESPN+ will provide exclusive early soverage featured group coverage all four days of the tournament, beginning at 7:45 a.m. ET on Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday. Peacock will offer simulcasts of Golf Channel’s TV coverage, while Paramount+ will stream CBS’s coverage.
