A True Community Club
Founded in 2024, the Chupacabras play in the USL League Two Mid-South Division and call Ron Poe Stadium, a roughly 4,000-capacity venue near downtown, their home turf. The regular season runs May through July, with playoffs continuing into early August, and home matches bring a full matchday atmosphere with music, themed promotions, and family-friendly entertainment just steps from downtown's restaurants and shops.
The roster blends aspiring pro talent with college players from McKinney and the surrounding area, many of whom return home each summer to play. The community runs deep and fans had a direct hand in selecting the team name and logo, and the front office includes local interns from surrounding schools.
The club's impact doesn't stop at the stadium. In partnership with TUPPS Brewery, the Chupacabras built a small-sided mini soccer pitch on TUPPS' Mill District property which acts as a year-round hub for pickup games, youth programs, and casual play.
