A Texas Music Friendly City
McKinney earned the Texas Music Friendly Community designation from the Texas Music Office in 2020, and Visit McKinney partners with an independent advisory board of local music professionals to support and develop the scene. Talented singer-songwriters, cover bands, instructors, and emerging artists perform at downtown restaurants, wineries, and venues throughout the city.
Be sure to check out The Guitar Sanctuary, the Sanctuary McKinney venue, the McKinney Community Band, and the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra. The annual Texas Music Revolution festival celebrates it all with multiple stages featuring dozens of performers across downtown venues and local businesses, growing larger each year.
