Don your elegant Regency-era garb and a mask, and dance to live music in the lively but dignified style seen in Jane Austen movies or Bridgerton. No experience or partner is necessary, and dancers switch partners for each dance. Experienced callers will guide you through dances from the era.
A seasoned English Country Dance Band, Mad Robin, will play tunes from the 1600s to the present day, evoking the spirit of a long-ago masque ball.The event is a collaboration between the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts and the McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT). The band, Mad Robin and the callers are brought to you by the North Texas Traditional Dance Society (Nttds.org) and the Venue, GATHER, is brought to you by The McKinney Chamber of Commerce (gatheronthesquare.com)
