Downtown McKinney Events & Festivals

Downtown McKinney, Texas, is a vibrant hub of cultural festivities throughout the year, offering a diverse array of events that celebrate art, music, food, and community spirit. In the spring, the Arts in Bloom festival transforms the historic district into an open-air gallery, featuring over 150 local and regional artists, live music, and local wineries. Summer kicks off with the Texas Music Revolution, a two-day event in June where more than 90 country performers take the stage across 20 venues. The Red, White and Boom! celebration on July 4th includes a downtown parade and a spectacular fireworks show, while McKinney Oktoberfest in late September brings authentic German food, beer, and live music to the square. As the year winds down, the Home for the Holidays festival in late November features a Christmas tree lighting, visits with Santa, and festive shopping. Additionally, the city hosts the Krewe of Barkus Mardi Gras dog parade and cultural celebrations like the McKinney Asian Festival and Día de los Muertos, reflecting the community's rich diversity and commitment to year-round entertainment.
