Festival Activities & Experiences

In addition to live performances, Arts In Bloom features creative, family-friendly experiences throughout the weekend. Activity locations are noted on the Festival Map.

Kids Arts Avenue

A dedicated area for budding young artists featuring interactive booths, creative play, and family-friendly attractions.

Kids Create

A hands-on workshop and play area for kids

The Kids Create area is an interactive space where children can explore art processes and make their own one-of-a-kind creations.

Activities hosted by Jump Into Art

Soft-Play Area (Ages 2 & Under)

A free, parent-supervised play space designed for toddlers two years old and under to safely crawl, climb, and explore in a soft, cushioned environment.

Petting Zoo

A favorite for all ages

Presented by Westland Ranch, this interactive petting zoo offers a clean, safe environment where guests can move among the animals and help groom them with provided brushes.

Miniature farm animals include goats, sheep, horses, mules, donkeys, potbelly pigs, cows, llamas, and alpacas.

  • $7 admission per child; one accompanying adult is free
  • Additional adults or adults without children: five coupons per person

Chupacabras Soccer Zone

Experience McKinney’s hometown soccer spirit with soccer-themed activities, player appearances, and opportunities to connect with the team throughout the weekend.

Art Demo Stage

Presented by MillHouse, The Art Club of McKinney, and the McKinney Arts & Music Guild, the Art Demo Stage showcases local artists demonstrating their skills and creating work in real time across painting, sculpture, pottery, leatherwork, and more. Check out the demo schedule

 

Community Competition Stage

The Community Competition Stage is an open, interactive space where festivalgoers can step in, create, and compete in a series of fast-paced art challenges. Designed for all skill levels, this area invites participants to test their creativity in a fun and welcoming environment. Throughout the event, the stage will feature a variety of rotating competitions, including sketching, clay hand building, and painting challenges. Each round offers a new opportunity to jump in, try something different, and showcase your skills, whether you're an experienced artist or just looking to have fun. No experience is required, just step up, get creative, and be part of the action. View the competition schedule.
