Goodies was brought to McKinney by the Lanio family, who relocated the store from Newport, Rhode Island in 2011. Laura became friends with the family while working at her other business just four doors down Tennessee St. When the Lanio’s shared plans to move back north, Laura jumped at the opportunity to purchase the business and keep this establishment in Downtown McKinney.
Beyond Goodies, Laura also owns North Texas Yoga, cherishing the camaraderie among fellow business owners and customers in downtown McKinney. Running both establishments in this idyllic setting fulfills her dream.
Goodies' Creates Delightful Chocolates
While at Goodies, you can find Laura working with her team, crafting some of your favorites treats as well as creating some new and exciting flavors. Laura hopes Goodies remains an integral part of the downtown experience, cherishing the role it plays in the community.
Out of all the creations that Goodies has for sale, Laura’s favorite items on the menu include peanut butter and jelly truffles, dark chocolate spicy peanut butter cups, and dairy-free dark chocolate coconut clusters.
