A Long Term Home in McKinney
Since 2021, McKinney has proudly hosted the PGA Tour's CJ CUP Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch. The tournament brings thousands of visitors, global attention, and substantial economic benefit to the City of McKinney.
In October, 2025, the McKinney City Council approved an extension to host the CJ CUP Byron Nelson through at least 2030, with an optional three-year extension that could carry the agreement through 2033.
Highlights & Champions
Dallas resident and the top golfer in the world, Scottie Scheffler, (shown in the image here) was the 2025 CJ CUP Byron Nelson winner, securing the top prize of $1.71 million and the coveted, handcrafted trophy.
