Brewery Tours in McKinney

McKinney is home to locally-grown TUPPS Brewery which has cemented solid roots and a great following among beer drinkers in its decade in McKinney. You won't want to visit McKinney for a weekend without spending some time at TUPPS. And if you're here the first Saturday of the month, you're in luck! You can enjoy a brewery tour at TUPPS, led by brewery founder and owner Keith Lewis. You won't want to leave after the tour, though. TUPPS is one of the locals' favorite places to hang out with friends and family, and enjoy a good meal with their frosty TUPPS beer or other beverage.

Located at 402 E. Louisiana, TUPPS Brewery has become a community staple and top destination in Downtown McKinney, drawing nearly 150,000 visitors a year. Since relocating in early 2024 to a larger space on the east side of downtown—next to Local Yocal BBQ & Grill, The Flour Mill, and the new McKinney City Hall —TUPPS continues to raise the bar for what a Texas brewery can be.

TUPPS Hosts Events and Family-Friendly Atmosphere

This family-friendly spot features a rustic indoor taproom, a spacious beer garden, and wide-open areas perfect for kids to play and guests to kick back with friends. Weekly live music, rotating food trucks, trivia and comedy nights, yoga, The Boho Market, and signature events like Ratrodtober and Hippie Fest make TUPPS a go-to for fun all year long.

TUPPS also offers a full scratch kitchen inside the Grain Room building (note: dogs are welcome in outdoor areas only). A free trolley from Historic Downtown makes it even easier to visit Thursday through Saturday.

As part of its commitment to the community, TUPPS partnered with the McKinney Parks Foundation to create the East McKinney Learning Garden—an initiative to promote food security and teach locals how to grow their own produce. The garden also supports programs like those run by Hugs Café.
