Collin County History Museum

Boy using an iPad to look at a history exhibitLocated just one block east of McKinney’s historic downtown square, this museum in the historic post office building is one of McKinney’s best-kept secrets. The museum is open year-round, Thursday through Saturday, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Family research and genealogy projects are welcome. Our archives and family files include information, documentation, and photographs from Collin County. We have a capable group of research volunteers available to assist each Thursday. The museum is available for private showings of exhibits and archives upon request. Please feel free to give us a call or check our website for more information.
