Make Music McKinney is a live, free musical celebration on June 21, the longest day of the year. Enjoy music-making on streets and sidewalks, as well as in parks, coffee shops, music venues, and more across the city. We can’t wait to make music with you! We are planning several events that will populate the event list below. Events being planned now include a performance by a brass quintet, a harp group, plenty of local singer-songwriters, karaoke events, and beginner percussion events. 

Also, the McKinney Community Band is planning a community music event at their patriotic concert a week after Make Music Day - a tribute to Make Music Day's "Sousaploosa" - when community members can register to join the band on stage for the final piece of the concert, "The Stars & Stripes Forever."
