North McKinney blends suburban growth with natural beauty. Newer neighbors like Trinity Falls, Erwin Farms, Honey Creek, and Painted Tree are quickly growing in this area, with conscious planning to incorporate the natural beautiful of the North Texas landscape into the new developments.
For visitors, two special parks and a beautiful wedding and event venue can be found in North McKinney:
Myers Park & Event Center, a scenic venue for events and community gatherings, features an event venue, pole and show barns with stalls for livestock, a gazebo with picturesque pond, amphitheater, a wide open area called "The Back 40 & Polo Field," Myers Woods, and even the Collin County Farm Museum (open by appointment only). The grounds at Myers Park are also home to a rose garden and to the research Earth-Kind® gardens overseen by the Collin County Master Gardeners and AgriLife Extension Office. The 212-acre Erwin Park offers hiking, biking, and camping, making the area a prime spot for both recreation and relaxation. A great rustic picnic area for families, it features three picnic pavilions, one of which has electricity, and two restroom facilities, making it also a great overnight tent camping spot. (Camping spots are by reservation only; details for securing the pavilion and a campsite can be found HERE. Erwin Park is also a center for prairie land restoration.
Erwin Park is also a popular draw for off-road cyclists, thanks to 10 miles of mountain bike trails, a progressive mountain bike skills course and even two bike repair stations for minor repairs, courtesy of the McKinney Parks Foundation and Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association.

Restaurants Near the North McKinney District
While there aren't any restaurants actually in this district, there are some just south of it. While most are fast food chains (Chick-fil-a, Chipotle, McDonalds, Whataburger, Taco Bell, Chicken Express, Sonic, Swig, etc.), the following sit-down type restaurants can be found near this region.
