For visitors interested in gardening, the Earth-Kind® Research Gardens offer a chance to explore research and demonstration gardens designed for North Texas conditions.

Myers Park hosts weddings, festivals, community events, and other gatherings throughout the year, so check the event schedule to see what's happening during your visit.

Erwin Park

Erwin Park is currently closed for renovations through the summer of 2027. The City of McKinney announced that the park closed beginning August 10, 2026, as renovation work gets underway.

Before planning a future visit, check the City of McKinney's latest park updates for information about the renovation project and reopening. Once the work is complete, Erwin Park will again be an important destination for hiking, mountain biking, camping, and outdoor recreation in North McKinney.
