(McKinney – December 15, 2025) McKinney, Texas, will host the NCAA Division II Football Championship game this Saturday, December 20, at McKinney ISD Stadium. The field will welcome Ferris State and Harding, two of the nation’s top programs for a high-stakes championship showdown.

McKinney has become a trusted national stage for championship football, having successfully hosted multiple Division II title games and earning a reputation for exceptional facilities, fan experience, and community support. The return of the championship continues a proud tradition of pairing elite collegiate competition with a first-class host city. Since its establishment in 1973, the Division II Football Championship has celebrated the highest level of athletic and academic excellence outside of Division I, showcasing the heart, talent, and competitive spirit that define college football.

The highly anticipated matchup featuring Ferris State and Harding will bring thousands of fans, students, athletes, coaches, and media representatives to the region for a championship-level experience.

The championship weekend will also include Fan Fest at TUPPS Brewery on Friday, December 19, starting at 6 p.m. This pre-championship event will feature food and drinks, a performance from the teams’ bands and cheer teams, and team revelry. This is a great opportunity for residents and visitors alike to show their support to the two teams and college football in a festive atmosphere.
