Recently, influencer/blogger Kika Carvalho (a.k.a. @TheRealKika) and her boyfriend spent a weekend exploring McKinney. She wrote about their experiences in her latest blog post where she shared about the incredible local cuisine they enjoyed, their private ballroom dance lesson, and other fun in Downtown McKinney as well as their visits to a local park and McKinney's own Croatian village, Adriatica. "I moved to Dallas a few months ago and have been so excited to explore the city as well as all of the surrounding destinations. I heard from a few people that McKinney, Texas, is a hidden gem so I knew I had to go visit. It’s safe to say.. I was not disappointed. I put together a fun list of places to stay, eat and go."
The Neathery Estate: We stayed there for one night in the stunning Anthony Suite. It is a bed and breakfast and it was so fun getting to know the other couples who were staying there too. Our suite had three nooks (I LOVE nooks), a living room area, two TVs and a really spacious bathroom. Tiffany is the owner and she treated everyone like family. During breakfast, we sat together with another couple and enjoyed the delicious breakfast ...fruit, eggs, potatoes, fresh biscuits (yum!), bread, veggies, and so much more. Highly recommend! It’s great for a staycation, nearcation, couples getaway, or even for friends."
