Brewery Tours in McKinney
Prost & Bottoms Up!
McKinney is home to two fantastic wineries, Franconia and TUPPS, both of which have cemented solid roots and great followings amount beer drinkers. The two breweries offer very different tour experiences, but both are special and memorable in their own way! You won't want to visit McKinney for a weekend and not take in a brewery tour.
Franconia Brewing is McKinney's first and oldest brewery. Founded in 2008, the brewery actually has very deep and long-standing roots. Founder and brewmeister Dennis Wehrmann is a third-generation beer crafter; his great-great grandfather started a brewery in Tanna, Germany, in 1800. Dennis brought family traditions to North Texas. The Franconia team brews authentic German Style Bier using the purest ingredients in the heart of McKinney, Texas.

A taproom is now also onsite and they now offer beer-to-go. For more details, visit their website. 495 McKinney Pkwy. - 972-542-0705.
TUPPS Brewery is set in a special environment that embraces the feel and the era of the historic Cotton Mill. When you visit the brewery, you will be immersed in the old Texas feel of the Cotton Mill and experience the past when things were slow and life was not as complicated.
TUPPS is also a great venue, featuring live music, TVs, tables made from large wooden spools, a beer garden, board and video games and more. Most weekends also include food trucks. The last Saturday morning of the month also features a free yoga class! Put your feet on the tables, write your name on the wall and bring old bottles to add to our bottle tree farm.
